20 | In the Dark

Parinidhi is in her deep sleep. Cocooned in her thick blanket, small tendrils of hair falling on her forehead, her eyes closed and long eye lashes kissed her cheekbones. Her pink plump lips formed into a pout adoring her face. Her breathing was even and slow while her face was calm.

Unaware of the intense gaze on her.

Unaware of the man luring in the shadows, staring at her with intensified madness. He leaned onto the window, keenly observing her features, the soft silky skin which is glowing in the moonlight, her long neck, her collarbone which didn't help his situation at all.

The tent in his pants hardened and more visible but his eyes filled with intense desire never moved away from her figure. As if his brain refused to look away.

This was his situation from the moment his eyes landed on this woman, who is testing his last drop of sanity leaving him with the uncontrollable desire.

He took slow and steady steps towards the bed, and took the seat near her face. Raising his hand, he brushed away the hair from her face which was blocking his view.

Bending down, he nuzzled his face on her neck, dragging his nose through the length of her neck, sniffing her scent like a madman who is thirsty for years. He nuzzled more into her hair and hummed in satisfaction.

Moving his head away from her neck, he removed the kerchief from his pocket and sprayed the chloroform he carried along. Pressing the kerchief on her nose for a few seconds he sighed in relief.

Keeping the kerchief aside, he joined her in the bed, back hugging her as tight as possible without a whiff of air passing through he bodies, while sniffing her scent and filling his lungs as much as possible. He kissed her neck occasionally.

He removed the blanket and squeezed her slim waist and peppered kisses on her shoulder and collarbone completely enjoying the moment she is in his arms.

He internally groaned when his bottom rubbed on her ass. Shutting his eyes he took a deep breath to calm himself down. He made himself comfortable and buried his face in the dip of her neck while his hands busy caressing her bare waist.

Sighing in content, when her skin came in contact with his, he drew random patterns on her skin then he closed his eyes and drifted off sleeping, not before mumbling possessively in her ear

"Meri Pari"

Ring Ring

Ring Ring

Parinidhi groaned hearing the her phone ringing continuously. Her eyes felt heavy and her head started to hurt.

"Damn" She rubbed her face and groaned hearing her phone ringing again.

"WHAT?" She shouted only to hear a deep chuckle from another side. She shivered slightly at his voice which felt a lot deeper than it always was.

"Still didn't woke up?" Rudransh asked making parinidhi sigh.

"What?" She questioned again.

"You need to attend the family dinner, tonight" He stated making her sigh in annoyance.

"I'm not coming" She was about to hang up when she heard him

"I didn't ask sweetheart" She scoffed at him and said

"I have work and meetings with clients. I don't have time to attend your family dinner, so enjoy without Mr. boyfriend" She hung up without waiting for his reply and went to the washroom to do her business.

She walked out of the room with a towel wrapped around herself and wet hair falling on her shoulders. Opening her closet, she looked for the perfect outfit for the day. Rumbling inside for a few minutes she took the perfect outfit.

Brushing her hair, she looked at herself in mirror. Applying some cream and moisturizer, she ended her make up with a nude lipstick.

Sighing she walked out of the room, straight towards her father's room.

"Good morning dad" She greeted him with a wide smile. It felt too good for her to see her father's face the first thing in the morning.

"How are you feeling" She asked changing his bandage.

"Fit and fine" He replied with a smile.

"Here is the breakfast" Sanjana entered the room with healthy breakfast tray in her hand. Parinidhi smiled before taking it from her and feeding her father.

His right hand had light scratches on it which may make it difficult for him to eat. Talking to her father and sanjana for some time she got up to leave for her office.

"I'll come by afternoon, keep your phone beside you. Take rest. And don't you dare leave the bed Mr. Gupta" She ordered.

"Yes mam" He said making everyone smile.

"Bye dad, we will get going. Call us if you need anything" sanjana said walking behind parinidhi.

"Byeeee" Sanjana sang taking a seat in her car. "Bye" Parinidhi replied starting the engine of her car.

She stepped inside the office only to stand at the entrance wide eyed. Not a single person was present in her whole firm. She walked inside, with every step her anger turned into fury. Not a single person came into her view.

"What the hell" She muttered taking out her phone and walking towards her cabin with furious steps atleast expecting her secretary to be present. But no, not even her.

Sighing loudly, she entered her cabin only to halt in her steps.

"Rudransh" She groaned seeing him sitting on her chair while eating her chocolates. Bastard.

"What the hell are you doing here?" She shouted snatching her chocolate from him. His gray eyes stared into her brown ones in nothing but pure adoration.

"Since you can hack into mine, I thought I can do that too. So I gave a day off to all your employees and cancelled all your meetings." Parinidhi chuckled humorlessly.

"Are you kidding me?" She said gritting her teeth.

"Of course not! Now your whole day belongs to me. Let's go" Rudransh said smirking and got up from her seat.

"I'm not going anywhere with you" She said walking towards her table. "And you gave a day off to my staff and you can't stop me from working"

She was about to take the seat when rudransh sighed and lifted her in his arms.

"Not again Mr. Rathore" Parinidhi shouted wiggling in his arms. She knew there is no turning back. He is stubborn just like her.

"You don't leave any other option other than this Ms. Gupta" He said walking towards the door.

"My chocolateeeee" She shouted throwing her hands at the direction of her table. Sighing she again walked back and she took the chocolate and her phone.

Smiling at her tactics he walked with her in his arms. Placing her on the passenger seat, he took the driver's seat and started the engine.

Parinidhi huffed before removing her heels and sitting comfortably in the seat.

"Where are we going?" Rudransh smiled before saying "To buy you a dress" Parinidhi raised her brow and smirked.

"Okay" She nodded savoring her chocolate.

"Why do you love it so much?" Rudransh asked gesturing towards the chocolate in her hands.

"Why are you breathing?" She asked in return making him frown.

"Huh?"

"You don't have an answer right? Same, Love doesn't need a reason. I just love it" She shrugged taking another bite.

"Hopelessly romantic" He commented smirking only to hear a chuckle.

"How come you never tried dating?" Parinidhi shook her head at his question.

"Aren't being too curious Mr. Rathore?" Rudransh shrugged.

"Anyone would be" He said with his eyes fixed on the road.

"Because I got a lot of proposals you know - " Don't say your dialogue of 'there is no man out there who can afford my worth' I know it was just a cover up" Rudransh mocked cutting her off making Parinidhi press her lips together.

"Fine! Because no one actually asked me out" Parinidhi mumble only to hear a loud amused laugh from the later. She gritted her teeth in annoyance.

"Shut up!" She shouted and Rudransh laughed so hard hearing her. After about 5 minutes he stopped laughing. Taking deep breaths he bit his lips staring at her red face.

"I guessed it. They are far more intimidated by you to ask you out" He chuckled at the end. Parinidhi glared at him and replied

"That's not the reason" She argued back.

"Then what do you think the reason is?" Rudransh asked chuckling at her stubborn self.

"Because they find me a lot beautiful to believe that I'm single" Parinidhi flinched when she heard his loud laugh again as soon as she finished.

Her frown deepened she heard his whisper between the laugh "self-obsessed ass" and he continued to laugh through out their journey making her grit her teeth in annoyance.

"I totally believe you" He stated before opening the car door for her. Parinidhi stared at him for a few seconds and scoffed before walking into the shopping mall leaving the smiling Rudransh behind.

Rudransh took fasts steps towards her and held her hand, she removed his hold and kept on walking.

Again he held her hand mumbling "okay sorry for laughing" and this time she let it be.

"Come on" He said taking her to a store.

The manager came forward to assist them. Parinidhi looked around the store completely ignoring the old man's rant about the latest collection.

Her eyes landed on a black dress shining at a corner. Her eyes stayed on it for a few more seconds and she said

"I want that one" She said walking towards the dress and tracing the cloth with her fingers.

The worker picked it up and parinidhi went to the dressing room to try it out.

The dress was so beautiful, it reaches below her knees and has off shoulder. It hugged her curves making her look ethereal.

She smiled at herself and changed into her dress. Walking out of the dressing room she mumbled to the worker

"Let me try some more dresses"

Rudransh sighed for the nth time seeing her trying another dress. It's been hours he is sitting in boredom but still she is stuck between two dresses. She is picky.

At the end of her internal conflict she choose the first dress and asked them to pack.

Sighing in relief Rudransh straightened his back.

"Let's go to the men's section" Parinidhi said taking her package.

"What, why?"

"You just paid for me and I need to purchase for you too" Parinidhi said walking ahead.

"Fine but why do you have to walk ahead all the time" Rudransh queation holding her hand in his firm hold. Parinidhi stared at their intertwined hands and then to his gray orbs.

"Habits" She shrugged, this time taking slow steps, with him walking beside her.

Parindhi literally filtered the whole store in search of a a single perfect suit for Rudransh while rudransh enjoyed every bit of their time grinning like a child.

They spent all day with some stupid flirting, rolling eyes and laughing.

"I'll pick you up at 7" Rudransh smiled making Parinidhi nod.

"Fine" Parinidhi got out of the car.

"Any special instructions for food?" Rudransh asked making Parinidhi grin.

"I want to eat Mediterranean food today"

"Good, I'll get going Ms.Girlfriend" He grinned making her shook her head.

"I'll be waiting for you Mr. Boyfriend"
